This was a full fitout of offices in the historic Trades Hall, built in 1888, a Heritage listed space.
The need to keep the space open and bright was a major feature.
CBD Projects worked closely with the designers and council heritage team to ensure all works were sympathetic to the era.
No fixings were allowed into the existing structure, hence the need for free floating glass walls.
Many decisions needed to be made as works proceeded, to maintain the design and heritage issues.
All services needed to be reticulated within hidden spaces, which required careful co-ordination and also clever design in keeping things hidden yet accessible and workable.
Specialists were employed to carry out certain finishes within the building to match the period details.
"CBD Projects operated quickly and met all deadlines. We were always provided with excellent advice and assistance and the team was relaxed, friendly and approachable, everyone was committed to quality and the site guys were professional and always willing to help."
